Last updated: 2026. OzoFriends is a free app built by Jennifer and provided at no cost.

This page explains what information we collect when you use OzoFriends, why, and what your rights are. By using the service you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

Information we collect

For a better experience we may ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including your name, email address, profile picture and contact information. This information is retained on your device and stored securely on our servers located in the European Union. We use MongoDB for storage; your data stays within the EU.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time within the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. Upon deletion, the personal information associated with your account is removed. See also Delete account.

Chat data

When an account is deleted, the associated chat data is anonymized. It is only permanently removed when the associated group is deleted.

Group deletion

A group is deleted once all members have left it. This is permanent; all associated chat messages and media are then permanently deleted.

Third-party services

The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you, including Google Play Services, Firebase (Analytics/Crashlytics) and Apple. These parties only access data as needed to perform their task on our behalf and are obliged to protect it.

Log data

If an error occurs in the app, we may collect log data via third-party products, such as your device's IP address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, and the time and date of use.

Website statistics

This website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool that we self-host within the EU. No tracking cookies are set and you are not tracked across websites. We do not use Google Analytics on this website.

Your rights
